Genesis 2:7King James Version (KJV)
7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
In the scripture above when God breathed into the nostrils of Man. Man became a living soul. So what is a living soul ? Living in the root Hebrew word is (chayah)(H2416) which means to remain alive, sustain life. Soul in the root Hebrew word is (nephesh)( H5315) which means Life , mind, emotion, and appetite.
God gave Man a appetite that would sustain life. That appetite was the appetite of every tree in the garden of Eden except the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Genesis 2:9King James Version (KJV)
9 And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
You see in Genesis 2:9 that the eyes or the sight creates the craving
for a appetite. Sight in Hebrew (Mareh)(H4758) Which means
appearance,vision. Good in Hebrew(tobe)(H2896)which means
pleasant, agreeable. So your eye is that which determines if your food
is agreeable or non-agreeable. Have you ever wonder why a chef dress
there plates before the Chef servers the food? In order for food to be
completely pleasant the food or the presentation of the food has to be
good looking. If i may say it in that way (lol). That is why God give us
visions, so that when you see a vision from God you will start to desire
or have a appetite for that vision to manifest in your life. Sight also
means to be Favored by God. (Gen 29:17),(Gen 39:6).
Genesis 3:1-5King James Version (KJV)
3 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LordGod had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
Did God Really Say?
How many times do Satan or his demons whisper did God really say to
you on a day to day bases. If i had a penny for every time i would be
rich. Satan knew that Man eye's are a gateway to there appetite (soul).
Tree in root Hebrew(aw-tsaw)(H6095) means to shut the eyes. Satan
knew that if Man would eat the fruit off the tree , there eyes would shut
to there living soul. When Adam and Eve ate the fruit there eyes
became shut to Life and open to death.
Genesis 3:10-11King James Version (KJV)
10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
you can see in verse 11 God replied with who told you that you was
naked did you eat from the tree. Notice that God didn't say did Satan
tell you that you was naked to Adam and Eve . The reason God ask did
you eat from the tree is because the fruit from the tree will speak the
nature of the tree into your soul.
John 6:51King James Version (KJV)
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
In conclusion, Jesus wants us to have a appetite for his body
and his blood. Jesus is the tree of Life. Pray that Jesus will open up
your eyes to see and have a appetite for life again.
